CTEK MXS 10EC is a fully automatic 8-step battery charger. This powerful 10A / 12V charger is also suitable for charging AGM batteries. The charging capacity is suitable for 20–200 Ah batteries, and for maintenance charging, it can handle up to 300 Ah batteries. Designed for professional use, the MXS 10EC includes several functions, such as automatic diagnostics to determine if the battery can receive and maintain the charge. The power supply function facilitates battery replacement and acts as battery support during simple diagnostics. The MXS 10EC is ideally suited for workshops, but it can also be used in other applications, such as boats and motorhomes. The easily portable MXS10 EC includes long, four-meter charging cables and a durable silicone cover for added convenience. The MXS 10EC is also equipped with a detachable temperature sensor, ensuring optimal charging in all temperatures. The charger comes with a two-year warranty.

Charging steps:

• STEP 1 (DESULPHATION) Voltage pulses remove sulfates from the battery's lead plates, restoring the battery's capacity.
• STEP 2 (SOFT START) Tests if the battery can accept a charge. Charging begins if the battery is in good condition.
• STEP 3 (BULK CHARGE) Charges the battery at maximum current until about 80% of the battery's charge capacity is reached.
• STEP 4 (ABSORPTION, READY TO USE) Charges the battery at a decreasing current until 100% of the battery's charge capacity is reached.
• STEP 5 (ANALYSIS) Tests if the battery can hold the charge. If the battery cannot hold the charge, it may need to be replaced.
• STEP 6 (RECOND) Restores deeply discharged batteries.
• STEP 7 (FLOAT, FULLY CHARGED) Maintains the battery's charge at maximum level by charging it at a constant voltage.
• STEP 8 (PULSE, MAINTENANCE CHARGE) Maintains the battery's charge at 95-100% level. The charger monitors the battery's voltage and delivers pulses as needed to keep the battery fully charged.
